dunedin, Last Night. ' ,The Congress of the Now Education Eellowship was continued to-day when :another interesting and vqried programme of lectures and seminars attracted large audiences of teachers and others. The discussions at the seven seminars covered a wide field of thought, all the visiting authomies taking part. The main lectures of the day wero delivered by Sir Porcy Meadon (Dircctor of Education in LancasMrej, who spoke in the morning on "Education for Leisure," and Dr. Oyril Norwood (St. John's College, Oxford), whose subjeet was " Christianity and tho World Crisis." At the seminars Dr. Kandel provoked some interesting discussion on "Examinations and Their Substitutes, ' ' and Mr. a. Lismer (Toronto) dealt with the technique of school programmes. The case for the decentralisatiou of school control was ably expounded by Dr. Malherbe (Pretoria) and Sir Percy Meadon spoke on "Education of the Adolescent." "Musie in Education" was the subjeet of Dr. Cyril Norwood's discourse, and Dr. Harold Bugg (Columbia University) had some interesting comjnents to make on "The Curriculum and its Contents." Bektor Zilliacus. (Pinland) devoted his time to an absorbing discussion on "Individual Methods of Teaching." '
