Unusually Small Yarding To-day STORE HOGGETS WANTED An unusually small yaTding was made to-day at the Waipukurau stock sale, when the lines penned met with very firm selling. The fat eaftle pens meiuded two well-bred station lines oil'cred on account of Mr. Jas. Bibby, Ongaonga, and Mr. E. St. Hill Warren. Medium-framed, prime Aberdeen-Angus heil'ers, offered on account of Mr. Warren, made £9 9/-. These rates were x'ully on a par with last week's values at Stortford Lodge, The principal entry in the store eattle pens was one of well-bred rising two-year-old Aberdeen-Angus steers, oftered on account of Mr. J. W. Harding, Mt. Vernon, and which sold at £7 8/-. Other entries in this seetion were of a nondescript nature and in poor order. • * • Only three pens in the fat sheep seetion were occupied, but qualSty was lacking, A very bright market prevailed for hoggets in the store pens. One good line in forward condition was "eagerly sought after to be sold at the good figure of 22/8. Other lines, smaller grown and of medium quality only, made expensive buying. The bieeding ewes were confined to a draught in from the Te Uri district, which, on the basis of quality, showed an advance in rates. The selling indjcated a good market for well-mouth-ed ewes in good order. Eealisations wcie as follow: — FAT CATTLE On account of Mr. James Bibby, Ongaonga, six clean-bred, young Aberdeen Angus bullocbs, small i'ramed, medium to prime finish and would not kiil out over 650lbs., sold in a line at £10. ' On acountof tbe same vendor, a pen of similarly-bred bullocks, in similar order to the previous pen but a little smaller grown, sold at £9 5J-. On account of Mr. It. St. Hill War ren, Porangahau, five well-bred medium to heavy prime, young Aberdeen Angus cows, gdod quality, butcher's line, met the market at £8 17/6. On acount Mr. J. Bibby, sis clean bred, very small grown Aberdeen Angus heifers, medium to prime finish brought £7 6/-

STOBB OATTLE , On account of Mr. J. W. Harding, Mount Vernon, 41 well-bred rising twoyear Aberdeen Angus steers, • fairly grown, well coated .and in useful condition for develoj)ing into good heef eattle, realised £7 9/-. An entry of mixed-bred young bullocks; dairy scrts and in very light. condition, were disposed of at £7 8/-. From the same. source, a further entry of similar-bred bullocks in very light condition, poor and hungry looking, brought £6. An entry of springing Jersey heifers, in very poor condition, small grown sold at £2 2/6.

FAT SHEKP. A line of small to: uieditim'-grown Eomney hoggets, quite well finished, sold at 22/8. An entry of 3(f siuali-f ramed ewes of medium to prime finish, well woolled, sold at 21/8. A further " entry of lighter-finishod ewes, also small t ramed, brought 1S/9. STOKE SHEEP. An aftractive line of 650 medium grown woolly Komney wether hoggets -from the Takapau district, in, very forward order, liaving been well done, and in healthy condition, met the market ai 22/8. On hccount of Mr. W. Edgecombe, Ilatuma, 51 small-grown Down-cross iioggets, in sound store condition nnd hardy, made a good sale at 17/6. Oif the same property, 79 fairlygrown shorn ltomney wether hoggets, in good store condition, also made a good sale at 20/8. On account of Bullock Hill Station, Te Uri/ an entry Of 6-tb ewes, medium grown and depastbred with Eomney rams sin'ce March 25, sold at 29/-. On account of the same vendors, a line of 4-yr ewes depastured with Eomney rarua siuce March 25 brought 26/9. Thes.e medium-framed ewes were particularly well mouthed but mixed in the wool. From the same source, an entry of 5-yr ewes depastured with Southdown rams since March 15 brought 27/2. , These ewes were also well mouthed and were brighter and better in tlie wool tlian the previous pen. A pair of aged store ewes in poor condition brought 7/10. i
