History to be Written

BLENHEIM, Sunday. It was announced yesterday that Mr T. Lindsay Buick, editor of the valuable hi^torical biography, "Old Marlborough," proposes to regise the hook and add a modern section. He is the convenor of the Marlborough sub-com-mittee in the histordcal group of the national organisation for the celebration of the New eZaland Centennial in 1940, and following the announcement of his a"ppointment representations were made to him in Wellington to revise the volume and extend it in co-opera-tion with a provincial sub-committee. It was learned that Mr Buick was already entertaining the idea, eubjeet to the general approval of the province. The proposal has been communicated to the Mayor of Blenheim, Mr J. Stevenson, as chairman of the Marlborough centennial committee, and he liais warmly welcomed it.
