RUGBY POSTPONEMENT
Should Saturday's Games Count in Championship? HASTINGS SUGGESTI0N The most important matter discussed at the weekly' meeting of the Hastings Rugby Football Sub-Union last evening was the position that has arisen as the result of the dis'agreement between Hastings and. Napier officials over the postponement of matches last Saturday. The aetion of the Hastings postponement committee in calling off the games owing .to the weather and the condition of Nelson Park wa® confirmed, and it was debided to recommend to the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union that in view of the circumstances the whole of the series should be played on the first playing day and that the results of the two matches set down at Napier for last Saturday should not be counted in the championship seale. If the union is in agreement with this course, it will mean that the series set down for last Saturday, of which only two were decided, will be played next Saturday week instead of playiiig a, fresh series of matches and waiting until towards the end of the season t° play the outstanding games.
