"WELLINGTON, Last Night. After a prolonged discussion in committee the Wellington* diocesan synod to-night adopted the proposal referreil to by the Bisliop, Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbc Ilolland, to mark the New Zealand centenaiy in 19-10 by layiug the foundation stone of an Anglican Cathedral iu Wellington in that year. The corncr of Molesworth street and Hill street was unanimously agreed on as the most suit- - able site with the sites of St. Paul's ,Pro- Cathedral and St. Mark's Church as ian alternative if this could not be ; acquired.
