COSY THEATRE
DOUBLE-rEATUEE BILL. A stirring drama of an industria! conflict between railroad and trucking lines, Universal's "California Straight ^Aead," sereens at the Oosy Theatre to-night. Louise Latimer plays the leading feminine role opposite John Wayne. Perilous scenes of giant trucks moving through treacherous mountain passes accentuate the drama of the narrative. Fighting snow storms and blizzards high "in the California mountains, the trucks and men move on, setting the rousing tempo of the story. Blending comedy and melodrama in large, well proportioned doses, "Lady from Nowhere," the Columbia pieture •which is the second feature at the Cosy Theatre, presents Mary Astor in one of the most amusing and entertaining screen plays in which she has appeared. Briefly# it is the story of a manicurist who witnesses a gangland murder and has to flee for her life. Her flight takes her to Clearview, a small town, where she meets Earl Daniels, a young newspaper reporter, and the real complications set in.
