REMINDERS
Arrangements are well in hand fot the Pipe Band Ball to- be held in the Assembly Hall, Hastings, on Thursday, July 22. The ball is being held to help the uniform fund of the band. MeKay's orehestra has been cngaged. Tho committee desires that patrons should observe ballroom etiquetto and note that, the eonsumption of liquor or going to and fro will not be permitted. Members and friends making donations to the supper are requested to deliver at the Assembly Hall on Thursday morning or ring Mr J. W. Shaw, Quecn street. Members of the Hawke's Bay Apcountant Students' Society are rerninded of the lecture to be given by Mr J, fc. Butler, F.P.A.N.Z., of Napier, on Monday evening at eight o'clock in the ofitceg of Messrs Retemeyer and Edgley» Church Lane, Napier. Mr Butler will speak on "Permonanf- ^'■ilding so cieties and their accounts. " Mr Butler is the president of the New Zealand Building Societies' Association (Inc.)^ and is well qualified to speak on such a subject. A cordial invitation is extended to all interested.
