MRS MABEL HARPHAM
Mrs. Mabel Harpham, a very highly esteemed resident of Pakowhai, passed away at her residence this morning. For a number of years Mrs. Harpham had been in ill-health and . about ten days ago her condition developed suddenly, from which she failed to recover. For over thirty years she has lived in Pakowhai, being greatly respected by the settlers. Of a gentle and retiring disposition she was beloved Ry those who had the privilege of her friendship. All worthy causes she readily accorded assistance. She was a devoted member of the Churoh of England, and took a keen interest in all matters cbncernmg All Saints Church, Taradale. Mrs. Harpham was predeceased by her husband several years ago. She leaves two daughters, to whom the sympathy of a wide cii-cle of friends will be extended in their bereavement. Tho funeral will take place at the Taradale cemetery on Monday at 2 p.m.
