HARBOUR LEASES
Committee Begins Task of Reviewing It is anticipated that two days wili be suffieient to dispose of the list of applications made to the committee of valuers for review of certain Napier Harbour BoaTd leases. The committee, which is to deal with 32 applications in all, commenced its eittingg to-day. When questioned this moraing, Mr. W. G. McGlintoek, the Government valuer on the committee,- explained that the committee consisted of three persons with equal rights— one appoiuted by the persons desiring a review of their new values created from 1928 to 1932, one (Mr. Vivian Cox) appointed by the Napier Harbour Board, and one appointed by the Government. "The departmental committee which held sittings nearly a year ago made certain recommendations to the Government and these were forwarded to the Harbour Board with a suggestion that they be acted upon/' Mr. McClintOck said. "Aft,er eonsidering the requests, the Harbour Board agrced to alloW a committee of valuers to readjugt the rentals for the period from 1928 to 1932 in accordance with the basis adopted before and after that period. •Tt'is 'ho'fc a matter of revaluing for renewal in these 'cases.
