RIFLE SHOOTING
Hastings Miniature Club Outdoor Meeting The second outdoor meeting controlled by the Hastings Miniature Riefl Club was held at Roy's Hill, last week-end. Competitors from the Pakowhai (P;), Napier (N.) and Hastings °(H.) clubs participated in the match, which was i'avoured by ideal shooting eonditions, with the result that good scores were general. Regiistering the remarkable total of 145, Miss J. Lovell-Smith (H.) lieaded the lionours list for the day. Incidentally, this splendid score has been beaten on only two occasions since the "outdoor" club was eptablished five years ago. Following are the gcores in detail: — .

Club completed the first round for trophies generously donated by Mr. J. Munro. The Standard of shooting shuows a 'decided improvemenut on former competitions, and this match should be very keenly contested. Three first-season members, 'Alisses E. Moore, J. Milne and A.
