Ycaterday the death cscurred in Melbourne of Mr J. C. Leitch, assiatant general niauager of the Yictorian branch of the Vacuum Oil Co. Piyt, Ltd. Mr Leitch was born on tho Wdbt Coast where ho spent his early life, later attending Nelson Collcge. Ho attended the bchool of Mines at tlie Univorsity of Otago and graduated B.E. and 'B.Sc. He toured Australia as managor of the 'Varsity Rugby football team. After some experience in mining he joined the staff of the Yacuum Oil Co. Pty., Ltd., as lubrication enginoer, j serving dn Wellington and Canterbury. In 1920 ho was transferred to the company's Victorian branch with headquartere in Melbourne where three years ago he was made assi'staiit general manager. He leavos a widow and two young children
