RUGBY FOOTBALL
M.A.C. and Tech. to Meet To-morrow HASTINGS MATCHES The Hawke's Bay Rugby Union competition has now reached a most interesting stage, and to-morrow's programme of fixtures will have a particular bearing on the final result. Tho principal encounter, between M.A.C. and Technical Old Boys, takes place at Nelson Park, Hastings, on No.- 1 ground, commencing at 2.45 p.m. M.A.C. displayed good form. when they defeated Technical Old Boys in the first roqnd, but they will have to reproduce that form to-morrow, , qs the ex-Collegjans will be out to reverse tbs decision and M.A.C. will be equally eager to repeat the success of the flrst round. One thing is certain; the type of football will. be to the liking of spectators, as both sides delight in the open game. On the adjoining area Celtie will meet Hastings, and this also Bhould be an interesting encounter. Both sides have been, inconsistent of late, but tomorrow may turn on another of their good games, and an evenly-contested game should result. For the early arrivals there will be a third grade game on No. 1 at 1.15 between High School and Celtie and a fourth-grade game on No. 2 at 1.15 between Hastings and Celtie.
