Lacb of Discipline Blamed (Eeceived 16, lO.'lo a.m.) LONDON, July 15. A briek placed to hold open the doors hindering cleanera is deelared to be one of the preliminary causes of the Wiharncliffe explosion on August 11 of last year. Sir Henry Walker criticised the discipline of the night shift, giving as an example the propping open of ventilation doors. "These acts of indiscipline reflect upon the management," he said Sir Henry was of the opinion that the explosion extended because of dampness causing limestone dust to bind.
