NAMING A HOLIDAY

King's Day for King's Birfhday SUPPORT FOR PR0P0SAL Support for a movemeut to have the day on which the King's Birthday is held named "King's Day," instead of the incorrect term of "King's Birthday," is to be given by the Napier Chamber of Commerce. Following mention of the fact that the day was stipulated as a holiday in most awards, members expressed the opinion that the Dominion celebration on June 9 should not be referred to as the birthday of the monarch. It was deeided to ask the Associated Chambers of Commerce to take up the matter. Mr H. E. Edgley presided over Messrs M. S. Spence, L. W. Willis, A. W. H. King, L. Pickering, W. Rowan, W. M. Angus, J. P. Williamson.
