BLENHEIM, Last Night. Probation for two years was granted by the Chief Justice, Sir Micliael Myers, to-day to Lewis John Wijliaiu Tuckerman, aged 20, who had. pleaded giiilty to carnai knowledge. Arnolcl Clinton Hodson, aged 24, who also had pleaded guilty to carnai knowledge, was sentenced to nine months imprisonment, tho Judge stating that the case was more serious than Tuckermah's, and' stressing that young men must learn that they could not seduce young girls with impunity. - Henry William Smith, hotel employee, of Picton, was found guilty of assault on Charles Herbert Brogden .at Picton, on June 6, and Leslie Wilson was found guilty of assaulting Brogdpn so as. to cause. aetual bodily harm, The prisoners were rcmanded till tomorrow for sentence.
