Wanstead Herd Averages £7 10/Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held at the Feilding saleyards on Wednesday a complete dispersal sale of the dairy herd on account . of tho Eriata Nopera estate, Wanstead, Waipukurau, comprising 120 dairy cows and 40 yearling and 2-year heifers. The cows, although in light condition, sold readily to a representative bench of buyers from the Manawatu distr-ict and a highly satisfactory salo at prices fully curront is reported. The herd averaged £7 10/-. Prices were:— Cows due July and August, £8 to £11; cows due September, £6 to £9; later calvers, £5 to £7; springing heifers, £4, £4 2/6, £4 15/-: yearling Jcrsey heifers, £2P 2/6 to £3; .Tersey bulls, aged, 4.1, 41, and 8gns.; cows in milk, £4 to £6.
