BOXERS MATCHED AGAIN
Was Gisborne Decision Right? A seusationa.1 sequel to the demonstrations agaiust the decisions of Iieferee Fred Dominey in thd last two professional bouts in Gisborne took place' at a recent meeting of the Gisborne Boxing Association, when Dominey tendered his resignation l'rom the position of othciai reteree to the 'association. The resignation was accepted with regret and the association has decided to revert to the system of ap pointing a referee and two judges for future toyrnaments. The decisions which caused all the bother iu Gisborne were tbose in con neclsion with the Tiger Parkes-Barne.v Downs and the Billy Martin- Jack McMahon ligbts, and in each case the crowd deinonstrated in no uncertaiu manner. Billy Martin and Jack McMabon wiil figbt a return contest at the Hastings Municipal Theatre on Saturday evening, and Martin, who arrives in Hastings to-day from Auckland, for one, wiil be out to prove that the Gisborne referee's decision was correct. The box plan is s£t Donovan's to bacconist saloon. Intending patrons should note that the tournainent wiil not cominence until 8.30 o'clock; and tbough this is later than usual there wiil be the customary preliminary programrae of specially selected amateurs
