Does it Belong %o Britain or America? s (Received 15, 11.0 a.m.) LONDON, July 34. In the House of Commons, the Secretary of Stat© for Oolonies, Mr W. Qrmsby-Gore informed Mr Arthur Henderson that when the New Zealand solar eclipse party arrived at Canton
/ Island it found the United Statea ten-> der Avocet nchored there. The eaptain of the Avocet intimated that the United States did not admit ^rxtish sovereignty over the island. The posi-t tions thus disclosed was now Jwing eonsidered.
