Bates struek for the current year and approved at the pionthly meeting of the Patangata County Council yesterday are as follow:-— General rate, ljd in the £; hospital rate, §d in the £; harbour rate, 3-16d in the £; total 1 13-16d in the £, with the exception qf Porangahau Biding (which is not ineluded in the Harbour Board area where the total rate will be lfd in the £. Coinmenting on tho ratos, the chairman said that Porangahau ratepayer? would bo pleasod as thoy would he tho lowest, iustead of the highest, rated in the county. , •
