NORSEWOOD, Last Night. The kitehen ' evening tendered Miss Grace Mnrphy and Mr George Hammond on Friday was very enjoyable, and largejy attended A splendid programme of popular dance numbers was .submitted under the capable control of Mr F. Bishop. Mr" W. Te Tau was at the piano and his excellent playing contributed largely to the pleasure. Several of those present contributed extras. After a delicious supper Mr Bishop asked the guests of the evening to perform the customary ceremony of opening the many parcels, and spoke in eulogistie terms of the 'young couple and especially of Miss Murphy, who was a Norsewood girl, a good sport, and popular with all who knew her, After the parcels had been undrapped and the many beautiful and useful gifts displayed, Mr Hammond returned- thanks and said they both thoroughly appreciated the kindneas of the Women's Divisiou in t"' >:ing them suqh an enjoyable evening, and their many friends for the good wishe.9 expressed through Mr Bishop. \|j sang "For Thoy Are Jolly Good Fellous," Ainl rousing clicors wm-i. non.
