He hds always taken a keen intefeSt in all fortts of spoft and recfeation,
having played representative cricket and hockey and senior football undef British Association ruleS. Although Mf. Gosnell hSs been Af> proached several titties fegarding oxvic and Parliamdntary hdnours, he has de clined thettt, valuing his position as # ministef of the chttrch more than any othdr hOxioUf he might gaib. Mf. Gosnell has been associated with hospital boards in various parts of Kew Zealand at intervals during the past 20 years, and was for some time ehairman of the Taranaki Hospital Bbafd. He was elected to the* executive of the Hospital Boafds' Association, htii he had to reslgn this position because of a removal to another distfict. Mf. Gosnell is at present one of the editors of the NeW Zealand MethOdist Times.
