Mute but very intelligent four voiceless liunting dogs, the first of their brted ever to be seen in England, were exhibited a recent iriternational kennel show held in London.' Shorthaired and with sliarply pointed ears, the curious animals have never been known to bark. The dogs are ealled "Basenjis," and were imporled froui Africa, wbere they aro used for hunting by some of tho remote tribes inhabitating tho contral part of the continent.
