RANGITIKEI HUNT
Nominations Due To-morrow The Rangitikei Hunt Club'is steeplechase meeting ijvill be held on the Marton raeecourse on Saturday, July 24. The Hunt Club has made a very progressive move iii raising its stakes to £736 5/-, including two trophies. There are three hack eyents: Mai-Ien Race of £80, 5 furlongs; Closeburn Hack of £100, 7 furlongs; and Farewell of £95, 6 furlongs. The Riddiford Handicap is an open race of £110, 6 furlongs. The Rosebank Hack Hurdles of £110, 1$ miles. The Rangitikei Hunt Cup Steeplechase of £150, with a 15-guinea trophy, 2$ miles, and the Ladies' Bracelet, of £65 and a 10-guinea trophy^ 1J mile, are for qualified hunters. Nominations close to-morrow (Wednesday), July 14, at 9 p.m. with the acting-secretary, Mr Arthur Way, Box 3, Marton, or 'phone 2301.
