Lord Peel , chairman of the Royal Commission on Palestine, which has brought down proposals for the creation of separate Arab and Jewish Slates, with, a new mandate for the Holy Places which would ensure their protection as a permanent trust and provide free access for all. Lord Peel was formerly Secretary of State for India, and was a member of the India Round Table Conference and chairman of the Burma Round Table Conference.
