To-night at the Municipal Theatre More tlian 260 seleoted performers have been rebearsing daily under tho personal supervision o'f Mr W. Linte for the "1937 lieveille," the xnusieul extravaganza which opens to-night ,at the Hastings Municipal Theatre for a season of four nights and a matinee. Reveille productions are usually more than an ordinary amateur effort, and we are . given to nnderstand the new Reveille will easily, eclipse anything oi •its kind ever produced locally. The cream of Hastings talent wil'l be seen in action, and Mr Lints eonsiders he is fortunate in having the services ci Miss Jean Ballantyne's star performers and tap and tango ballets. The Reveille is always a fast-moving show. To-night 42 attractions will be staked in two hours and 40 minutes, Every set of lines in the theatre (35) is filled with special scenery. More than £1000 wortb of effects will be used, and no fewei than 500 costumes. In short, there arc seven ballets, eight sketches, 19 song successes and specialty numbers. Tho opening and 'final scenes are truly brilliant stage spectacles in which more than 160 . performers will bo seen in action at one time. Arrangements .have been made for the Government buses to run after each perfojmance to Napier. Tho plans are now open at Fail's. There is no extra chargq for booking.
