Girl Charged with Vagrancy An order comrnitting heir to a Borital institution for two years was made against Eriea Stewart, of Napier, aged 1.9, who appeared before Mr J. Miller, S.M., in -the Napier Magistrate 's Court this morning on a vagrancy charge. Senior-Sergeant G. Sivyer, Hastings, said tliat he had been informed that the girl was sleeping out in and around Hastings. She was allowed to go home to Napiey, but left home again. She appeared to be subnormal and to have some reason, which she Would not disclose, for not wishing to stay at home. The girl, who was alhiost 20, had only reached Standard H. at school, he added. The order of the Bench was in accord with the recommendation of the probation officer in Hastings.
