UNLICENSED BILLIARD-ROOM

For operating an unlieensed hilliardroom, Vernon Clifford Soiitli, of Napier, billiard-room proprietor, was fined £1, with 19/- costs, by Mr J. Miller S.M., in the Napier Magistrate's Court this morning. Senior-Sergeant W. Pender explained that the defendant's lieence had been renewed in the the name of the former proprietor, who was then out of the business.
