CYCLISTS KNOCKED DOWN
Motorist Did Not Stop karamu road accident Knocked down by a motorist who did not stop, two Hastings cyclists were iujured in Karamu road on Saturday evening. Mr Thomas Powiey, of Hastings, while riding along Karamu road ueaithe showgrounds towards Clive at about six o'clock. was struck by t\ motor-car which had overtaken him, and was thrown from his bicycle. In f alling he struck a cyclist in front of him, Mrs Brenchley, of- Karamu Settlement, and she also was knocked to the ground. The driver of the car did nqt stop but, it is stated, aceelerated and speeded on in the "direction of Napier. Both the injured persons received medical attention, but were later able to return to their homes.
