CRUTCHINGS SALE

Williams and Kettle's Report Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report as follows on the winter erutchings sale held in Napier on Friday.— We held our winter sale of crutthings aud oddments of wool yesterday. There was a very good attendance of buyers representing the various branches of the trade, iiidding was spirited throughout, though it was evident that buyers were operating on a very strict liinit. Prices, althougih down on the last wool sale in April, were considerably better than they were at tlie crutching ealo last year. The catalogue comprised about 2900 balesj and of this quantity 6ur olfering was 613 bales. The erutchings this year were not so good in coiour and were slightly shorter as compared to last year. Speaking geuerally, though, the wool was very well got up. We quote the following saies •.
