EUGBY, Juiy 9. The fifSt half year's traffie receipts on the main line British railways show a gain of £3,545,000 as compared witli the first 26 weeks of 1936. That period in tnrn showed takings amounting to £1,819,000 above thosc pf the first half of 1935, To the tofa] advaace of £3,545,000, passcngers contriljuteii £1,426,000, merchandise £904,500, and :eoal and coke £1,214,500.
