CHRISTCHURCH, Tliis Day. A 40-hour five-day' week, and a miniiuujn wage of £5 10/-, are granted to Canterbury engineer's draughtsmen in their first award, which was issued by the Arbitration Court to-day. Civil and architectural draughtsmen are >excluded from the award. Undqr the award all work doiie in ©scess of specified hours shall count as overtane, to be paid for at the rate of time and a-half for the first four hours, and double time thereafter. Oue week's annual holiday on full pay is also granted.
