Mayor to Represent Hastings on Board FENCING TO BE COMPLETED Approval of the ptoposal to set up a Clifton Domain Board was exprcsaed a1- the moofcing of the Hastings Borough Council last evening when the Mayor, ex-officio, was appointed to act on the proposed board as the representative of Hastings. The Commissioner of Crown Lands advised that in a short while the conveyance of 12 acros 1 rood 32 porches at Clifton from Mr F. L. Gordon to tho Crown for domain purposee would be completed. A condition of the transfer was that certain works must be ammediately carried out, including (a) the erection of 26 chains of boundary fenee, and (b) the erection of two eouvenieuccs on the proposed domain. An ofFcr of a contribution of £100 lo dofra.v tho cost of these works has beou rau'do by Mr 0. IJuHheer, uud the Copimissioner pointed out that, in order to avoid delay in the carrying-out of Ihe work, it was necessary that a board should bo constiluted, to be callod ihe Clifton Domain Board.
