Canterbury League Offer Accepted

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. George Nepia, the famous All Black and Rugby League full-back, has accepted an offer from the Canterbury iiugby League to play in matches in Christchurch during August. Since his return from England after playing Rugby League for Streathan-Mitcham and Halifax Nepia has been working on his farm on the East Coast and has not played any football Negotiations were opened towards the end of last month and to-day a letter was reeeived from Nepia saying that he would agree to the terms offered The New Zealand League has c-abled the Englisb authorities fof Nepia's clearance so that he can play in CbristcliUTch and also t-itfn out with the Maori thirteen to meet the Aiistralian tourists in their match at Auckland on Angust 11.
