LINEN GIFT AFTERNOON FOR BRIDE-TO-BE

Mrs J. N. Holmes, of Beresford street, Hastings, was the hostess at a very jolly tea given for Miss Peggy Lord, whose marriage takes place at the end of this month. Competitions were held during the afternoon, an-1 the winners were Mrs Alder and Mies W. Lord. Af ter a delicious tea the guest of lionour was called upon to open her pareels, which disclosed an array of eharming linen gifts, for' which sho thanked all present. The guests were: — Mrs F. J. Lord, Mrs W. Gardiner, Mrs M. Alder,. Mrs E. Nelson, Mrs Gordon Body, Mrs Jack. Bradley, Miss Ruth Connop, Miss Joan Sowman, Miss Betty and Miss Nancy Lord.
