"Not a Dog Nuisance"
"DOG LOVEB "
Uir, — In roply to "Sanitatiop," I would advise hihi to kuow his sub'ject before rushing into print. Some months ago there were reasons for complaintfi legarding the stray-clog nuisance, but the council has absolutely cleaned that up, There is hardly a strriy dog to bo sefen.in the toWn. The dog-catchef docs? his job, excellently, and continues to /]o it. . There are notices in ali the shops uf.tifying customers that dogs are not permitted on the premises — that is, I take if, on their four feet. If a per' *,son choOSes to chrry his dog in his hl'ms, of in"- the carrier of his bicycle, 0r in his- car, .surely that is entirely his own business; it alfects no-ong but iinnself, and I co^nsider lt gross impertinence to comment on it, let alone rush rnto print. That really is over the ibge. As -to the simile abotit the uhuiches, that is too stupid even to comment . c)n. In eonciusion, .may i quote « few liues from the immortai Burns mosi appJicable-- to sanitation?— "O, wad some pow; the giftie gie us Tu see oorsels as ithers see us— It would irae mony a blunder free uS An' i'ooiish notion." 1 : ours, etc..
