USE OF POISON GAS ALLEGED

(Eeceived 8, 8.45 a.m.) BERLIN, JJuly 7. The German newspapers are suddenly alleging that the Spanish Government troops are using poison gas and are preparing large quantities for future use. The production of large supplies of poispn gas, according to the nationalists, began three months ago under orders from Moscow. The liecessary acids, which were not obtainable in Spain, were t&ken in from the Kassian Black Sea ports. The Government is making a feverish effort to suppiy its troops with gas masks, fearing retaliation. The Spanish Embassy at London denies that the Government troops are using poison gas. Th(j Embassy stated: "A campaign 'has begun in the Italian-German Press with suspicious unanimity and noise. The Spanish Government directs world upimon t othe anxiety with which it regards this new ruse of totalitarian States."
