AFTERNOON WEDDING AT WAIPUKURAU
rose— c0chrane | A pretty wedding was solomnised at j St, Andrew's Presbyterian Churcff, Waipukurau, yesterday afterho'on, wheu Isabella Jean, daughter of Hr and Mrs 1 .W. R. Coehrane, of Racecourse mad, Waipukurau, was married to Donalu* George, son of Mrs Ross and the late Mr itope, of Ruataniwha, Waipawa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. li. Miutchison, assisted by the liev. Mr Robertson, of Waipawa. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attractively gowned in cream satin beaute, the froek being made on slim-iitting lines with shirred bodice and sleeves and flnished with stitched collar and cuffs. The train was trimmed with hanh-made. flowers. Her veil and halo were of hand-worked \ tulle and she wore cream satin sandals. The bridb's Khower bouqUet was eomposed of freesias and English roses ixi shades of goid and cream. The bridesmaids, Miss lela Coehrane, sister of the bride, and Miss Maja Petersen, cousin of the bride, were dressed alike in blue satin beaute with pink wood-pulp flowers at the nbck. They wore crinoline picture bats and silver sandals. Mr Aliek Malcolm, of Ruataniwha, was best man, and Mr Len Priests of Putara, Eketahuna, groomsman. The feception was held at St. Mary's Hall, Waipukurau; where .Mrs Coehrane received the guests wearing a fashionabie frock of navy cellophane crepe, with a short coat and hat to tone. Her posy was of spring flowers ih tints of bronze and gold. Mrs Rose, mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a black afgalaine frock With coat and hat in harmohising shades. Spring flowers in colours of mauve and violet formed her posy. The hall was artistically adorned with Japanese lanterns and other embellishments. Over tbe bridal chair was suspended a pretty pink bell. The three-tier wedding cake, made by tho bride 's mother, bore a teilver spray that had adorned the wedding cake at Mrs Coehrane 's marriage. When tho happy couple left for their honey — a mofor four in the ndrth— the bride wore a stylish blue frock, a blue coat trimmed with grey fur, and a blue toque. Her glOves and shoes were in matching shades
