Successful Evening Enjoyed by Dancfers
The Sij. Vincent de Paul Society held its annual ball to augment their filild for chhrity in the Forfesters' Etall, Napier, last ilight, which was crowded with dancers. Streaiuji o oftt red, . white and blue covfered the ceiling, interihingled with toulti-coloufed lights, giving a vety pretty effeet. The wihddwg on each side of the hall were ciirtairied with crepe paper in red and blue, ahd between the Windows royal plac^ues adorned ihe walls. The orchfestral st&ge was inassed with foliage and palihs. The ihahy helpers worked tincfeasiilgly with the decorations, and the supper arrangetdehts, which were excellent. The lohg tables, on which were arrayed many tempting dishes of savourieg and 1 sWeets, Were decorated with bowls bf Iceland poppies and foliage, also bliife and white Sttealhfei*s were arraiiged over the white clotlis, harhlohising With tho paper ribbons of blue and white, which ciecofated the ceiling.
