Alr J. K. Lee, Waipukurau, who has rpsigued his position as engineer to ihe Central Hawke's Bay Eleetric Power Board, was met by the staff before his departnre. lu making the presentation of a leather suitcase on behalf of members of the staff, the secretarymanager. Mr G. E. Fbwler, spoke in appreciative terms of Mr Lee's services to the board and wished him every success in the future. Mr Lee suitably replied. Mrs J. L. Brathwaite, who has been on an extended holiday in Dunedin, haa returned to Waipukurau. Mr F. W. McSweeney, of the Waipawa telephone exchange staff, has received notice of his transfer to Waipukurau. Mr R. W. Petberick, Waipawa, left yesterday on a visit to Lower Hutf, Mrs Pethcrick having been taken ill while holidaying there.
