CANADIAN DROUGHT
Wheat Crops Ruined WINNIPEG, July 2. Heat continues to take toll of the wheat crops which are threatened in Manitoba and South Saskatchewan. Rain is needed everywhere. Mr. Fred Hailes, a prominent wheat-grower, was found dead in his ruined fields with a gun by his side.
