HASTINGS R.S.A. BALL
Arrangements Discussed A meeting of those interested in the fortbcoming Hastiugs Returned Soldiers' Association ball was held last Wednesday evening, Mr A. J. Manson presiding over a good attendance. It was deeided to hold the ball in the Assembly Hall on Thursday, August 5, commencing at 8.15 p.m., the admission charges to be the same as in former years — namely, 7/6 and 4/-. A strong ladies" committee, under tlie direction of Mrs T. A. Hill, was set up to take charge of the supper arrangements; and other sub-commtitees were appointed for publicity, music and programme and decorations. As Mr Manson wiil be leaviug Hastings before the date of the ball, Mr S. I, Jones was appoiuted organiser in his place. "It was resolved to ask returned soldiers attending the function to wear their badges aud ininiatur© medals.
