COSY THEATRE

"HISTORY IS MAHE AT NIGHT." From the flrst pop of a champagne cork to the last "I love you," "History is made at Night," which screens at the Cosy Theatre to-night is the grandest romantic fun-feast that the screen has seen in ages. Starring Jean Arthur, of many recent film successes Charles Boyer and Leo Carrillo, this film is an unusual one. It combines murder, melodrama and moonlight, and the audience is kept in suspense right antil the finai fade-out. It is a love triangle story, treated from an unusual angle. Drama is introduced by means of a trans-Atlantic ship 's maiden voyage. "Shots" of the wrecldng of the liner on an ieebeig must rival the earthquake scene from "San Franciscd" in stafk detail. The effect of crashing ice strikes tei-ror into her passengefs and sends thrills up Und doWft the spines of ° the audience. One has the impression througliout the filln that the direetor has aimed at "beautiful camefa "shots," fiiiely balanced, with Hght and shade correctly proiiortioned atid backgrounds well eliosen.
