Selling and Exhibiting An Indecent Magazine

WELLINGTON, This Day. Morris Edward Lehany, hookseller, was fined £10 and costs on a charge of exhibiting an indecent doeument and £5 and costs on a charge of selling an indecent doeument. The Magistrate reserved decision was given in the case last Friday. Counsel for Lehany said that the hookseller in these cases was usually the iimocent party He was more so in this case as publications of the nature mentioned in the charge had long been sold in this country. He made that statement because it was not intended to appeal.
