PALMERSTON N., This Day. Following a fortnight of drying weather after rain the -Awapuni traek was in perfeet order this morniug, and provided 'no rain falls the course is likely to be faster for Saturday ;s races than at any winter meeting for some years. Quadroon, Chat and Herangi rau six furlongs in 1.22. SpOrting Gift did half a mile in "54 4-5secs/ "... Beaulack did two furlongs in 26secs. Corroboree and Tuillight covered six furlongs in 1.24, the lfitter finishing just in front. Dawning Light, who bled yesterday, looked quite well this morning and was given light work. Manawatu and The Eanger were partners over a mile run in 1.56. Happy Hunting did three furlongs in 42£secs, Lady Ina and Yalroy covered six furlongs in 1.22. Gay Boy and Master Limond took 58secs. for a half -mile, the latter not moving well at the start. Old Stirrey just headed Thurwind at the end of five furlongs run in 1.7 4-5.
