MR. C. J. McBRYDE

The death occurred on Tuesday of Mr. Charles John McBryde, of Hastings. Mr. McBryde, who was a son of tho late Mr. John and Mrs. Lyd'ia McBryde, of Port .Ahuriri, was 61 years of age. He was born^ at Port Ahuriri in 1876 and had epent most oi his life in the district, where he was woll known and highly respected. He was a singlo man, he is survived by two brothers. Ho' served in the Now Zealand Expedibionary Force during the Great War and was a member of the Eeturned Soldiers' Association. Mr. McBryde had been engaged in farming pursuits untU the time of his death. He was oxtremely good-natured and went about doing many kindly accions to help those with whom'he etima in contact, never thinking of himself or his own personal inconvenience.
