NO DANGER OF REDUCTION IN GOLD PRICE

The Financial Press considers that Bir John Simon's statement in the Equalisation Fund debate means that investors can dismiss any reduction in the price of gold from their calculations. It is becomdng clear that private buyers wili take some time to recover confidence. althougb receut falls h»ve been overdone, The Bankers' Magazine. calculates the aggregate,, fall in a list of 365 securities at £420,000,000. The shave index is the lowest since November, 1935.
