Dr. Btout, who is pfesideht Of the New Zealand branch of the Blitish Medical Assoeiation, referred to the itnportant part a pure ntilk supply played in main-\ taiiiing the health of the commuhity, and in this coUneCtion he said that the mixing of the milk of many cows and many herds lessened the iisk ahd that where milk was paSteurised as Well as mixed tlie risk must be ndhOxistent. He also felt that all cows from which milk was utilised for human cohsumptioh should be periodically subjeeted to the tuberculin test.
