Point-to-Point Entries Oue To-night The Hawke's Bay Hunb Club will hold, its annual point-to-point steeplechase meeting on Saturday next, July 3, at Mangateretere, on properly kindly lent by Messrs O. Nelson, E. Nelson, and S. E. Beacheru This is the meeting of the year from a really sporting point of view. The five events, Lightweight Steeplechase, . Heavyweight Steeplechase, Open. Point-to-Point Steeplechase, Hunters ' Trial (ladies), and Hunters' Trial (men) are all for * qualified hunters, and are at such weights as will allow of amateur riders competing in all events. The meetings are always carried out in the finest sporting spirit, and the competition for the various handsome trophies is as keen as though a Derby or a Melbourne Cup were at stake. Entries for all events close with the S6cretary, Mr A. E. Wishart, Box 13, Hastings, to-night (Wednesday), at 8 o 'clock.
