Mulford, front-ranking writer of Weetern action stories to reach the screen, comes to the State Theatre to-night with William Boyd again cast as the hard-fighting, hardridihg hero. The latest "Hopaloag Cassidy" atlventure deals with the efforte of the Texas Kangers and the Mexican secret police to apprehend a desperado who.se depredations on both sides of the Liio Grande have made life dangerous in the sparsely eettled country. ' ' Hoppy ' ' is sent into the bandit's territory as a secret agent for the Kangers. In this '.seci'et mis>ion, Cassidy not only succeeds in deceiving the outlaw and trjapping him, but to his own great sorrow, he turns his two best friends against him. Also screening is "Rideaway Girl," with Martha Baye, the female Joe E. Brown.
