Steeplechasing at Mangateretere on Saturday The annual point-to-point steeplechase meeting under the auspiccs of the Hawke's Bay Hunt Club will be beld af Mangateretere next Saturday, July j 3, on property kindly lent for the occa5 sion by Messrs. Oswald nad Eric Nelson | and S. 3t. Bcachcn. This course is'one | of the best of its kind in the Dominion. J It is a purely sporting turn-out, and I a red-letter day as far as hunting in I Ha-ivlre's Bay is concerned, as thcre are !' no monptary prizes, the winners and runners-up reeeiving trophies. All Ihe Hklers are amateurs, and thero are no Ibetting facilitics. This seasRn there have been large ? numbers of followers at the nieets of | the Hawke 's Bay Ilunt, and it is antici- } pated that the runners will be rnany, I2 and the contests close and exciting.
